Wasswa Joram Katende is 8 years old and in Primary 1. Joram is a shy but playful boy who loves spending time with his peers, especially his twin brother, Joshua. Joram lives with his siblings and parents in a house they care for but do not own. His father, who was once a bricklayer, can no longer work due to an illness, so his mother, a casual hairdresser, supports the family. Joram helps at home by fetching water, cleaning, and washing utensils. His favorite food is rice and chicken, his favorite color is red, and he enjoys studying numbers. Joram hopes to become a mechanic one day.
